NEW WORK:: GRAY: GRAY-WEB-008

Sandra Steinbrecher, Documentary Photographer, 63. “I went gray a few years after my husband, Tom, died. It felt right, like one small way I could be true to myself. But it took me about a year to get comfortable with it while I considered how it would impact my work life and my personal life. I wondered if I would eventually want to date again. If so, would I be comfortable with my silver hair? I realized I wouldn’t want to date someone for whom gray hair is something to cover up. This is who I am.”
